ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University volleyball team has two more non-conference matches before Mountain East Conference play starts as it hosts Winston-Salem State 7:00 p.m. Tuesday before traveling to UVa.-Wise 7:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Amber Hall posted a career-best 21 kills and sophomore setter

Hannah Steele posted 23 kills in the win at E&H as she set a career high and nearly set the program record for kills in a match, held by Amber Miller with 25 against Alderson-Broaddus in October 2010.
AMONG THE BEST
Hall begins play this week ranked 10
th in Division II in hitting percentage at .434. The Massillon, Ohio native hit .450 in four matches last week, including a mark of at least .475 in three of the four matches. Additionally, Hall had at least 10 kills in all four matches and accounted for 15 of Concord's 26 kills in a loss to Seton Hill. Hall is fourth in the MEC in kills per set at 3.45. FAMILIAR SURROUNDINGS
Wednesday night will be the 14
th all-time meeting between Concord and UVa.-Wise in volleyball with CU owning an 11-2 advantage in the series. Wednesday night will be the first time for assistant coach
Morgan Milligan going against her alma mater as Milligan played both libero and setter for the Cavaliers from 2016-19. It will also be the first trip to southwestern for the Mountain Lions since a five-set victory October 1, 2019. Rodgers dished out a then-career high 40 assists. Sheridan Herron grew up 40 miles from UVa.-Wise's campus. For Tuesday night, Concord and Winston-Salem State will match up for just the fourth time in series history with CU owning a 2-1 edge. The last meeting came in 2017 as WSSU won in four sets.
WINSTON-SALEM STATE AT A GLANCE
The Rams played two matches at the Golden Eagle Invite as they lost to Newberry and Ohio Dominican. WSSU will be 10 days between matches since its defeat to ODU. Winston-Salem State has a negative hitting percentage at -.026. Breona Young has eight kills and is hitting .194 this season.
UVA.-WISE AT A GLANCE
The Cavaliers started conference play this past weekend as it went 0-3 against Limestone, Newberry and Anderson. Cassidy Farley is third on the team in kills with 52, but is hitting .289 this season. Farley is also the team leader in blocks per set (0.90). UVa.-Wise is allowing opponents to hit .205 this season. Adison Minor leads the Cavaliers in kills with 62, but owns just a .060 hitting percentage.
