BECKLEY, W.Va. – The Concord University women's soccer team erased an early 2-0 deficit to down West Virginia State, 3-2, Friday night in Mountain East Conference action at the YMCA Paul Cline Complex.
The Yellow Jackets (2-4-1) scored in the 22
nd and 27
th minutes to gain the two-goal advantage. However, Concord (6-1) responded with its first goal just two minutes after WVSU's second goal to trim the deficit in half. Sophomore midfielder

Yasmin Mosby inside the penalty area where she connected with her head to score her first career goal.
In the 33
rd minute, senior midfielder
Elisha Robinson gained control of a pass just inside the penalty and struck a shot high over the head of Yellow Jackets' goalkeeper Christin Walls.
Despite the Mountain Lions holding an 8-2 advantage on shots in the second half, CU needed 25 minutes of the second half to find the back of the net.
After junior forward
Leah Foster was denied a score in the 70
th minute, she would find the goal off of a Mosby corner kick less than 30 seconds later to push Concord ahead, 3-2.
Over the final 20 minutes, WVSU had just one shot and one corner kick as CU controlled the pace once taking the lead.
Mosby finished with two assists in the game while Foster scored her conference-leading seventh goal of the season. Robinson's goal was her second of 2021.
The Mountain Lions owned an 18-6 advantage in total shots while holding a 12-4 margin in shots on goal. Each team had four corner kicks.

Friday night was the first time CU came back from a two-goal deficit to win since October 4, 2012 against Ferrum.
