The Battlers scored two runs in the first inning, and added a run each in the third and fourth innings to go up 4-1 on the Mountain Lions.
CU responded in the top of the fifth, however, as freshman infielder

Richard Ortiz and Saryeldin.
With the deficit down to one run, Alderson Broaddus answered the Concord scoring with four runs in the bottom of the fifth.
Concord was able to get runners aboard in both the sixth and seventh innings, but could not draw any closer.
