Charleston is 0-2 after losses to WVWC and Davis & Elkins last week.

AMONG THE LEADERS
Senior defensive specialist Lindsay Maddox racked up 41 digs across two matches last week, including 25 in four sets versus Davis & Elkins. The Amherst, Virginia native now has 1,328 digs for her career which is the second-most among active players in Division II. In nine sets versus WVWC last season, Maddox had 41 digs while she totaled 61 digs in nine sets against Charleston.

TAG TEAM
In the loss to Davis & Elkins, freshman setter Kristin Lough and junior setter Imani Rodgers combined for 43 assists with each player tallying 20 or more assists. Lough dished out 23 assists in her first collegiate match with Rodgers adding 20 assists against the Senators, and another 16 assists at West Virginia State. Rodgers is 76 assists away from surpassing for her career. While the setters were dishing out assists, senior outside hitter Kirsti Pouncy aided the effort in digs against Davis & Elkins as she notched 14 digs for her first career double-double. Pouncy had a career-best 13 kills versus D&E.

STRONG START
Sophomore middle hitter Amber Hall and junior middle hitter Sheridan Herron each had stellar performances in the first two matches of the season. Hall leads CU with 18 kills while Herron is third on the team with 13. Last week, the duo combined for 31 kills to just eight errors with both hitting better than .260 on the season, including a .325 percentage for Hall. Meanwhile, Herron needs 148 attack attempts to qualify for the CU record books in hitting percentage, but at her current pace Herron's .167 career average would rank just outside the top 10 in program history.
