MEC Tournament Central
ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University men's and women's basketball team have both qualified for the Mountain East Conference Tournament that gets underway with first round games at campus sites Monday, and runs through Sunday, March 7 with the MEC Championship at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, West Virginia.
The Concord men's team is a host for an opening round game, finishing as the fourth seed in the MEC South Division. CU plays Davis & Elkins—the MEC South's fifth seed—7:00 p.m. Monday at the Carter Center.
No spectators will be allowed, but the game will be live streamed on the Mountain East Conference Digital Network at
mountaineast.tv/concord. Live in-game statistics will also be available for Monday's game.
The winner of Monday's game advances to play West Liberty in Friday's MEC Tournament Quarterfinals at 2:00 p.m. at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, West Virginia.
The Concord women's basketball team has advanced to play to the MEC Tournament Quarterfinals via a home win over Glenville State Saturday afternoon. CU plays Wheeling 8:00 p.m. Thursday in the final quarterfinal game at WesBanco Arena.
