ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University women's soccer team takes on Bloomsburg in the NCAA Atlantic Regional Tournament, Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the YMCA Paul Cline Complex in Beckley, West Virginia.

Concord is 18-0-3 overall after defeating Mercyhurst in the first round of the NCAA Atlantic Regional Tournament

GREAT OFFENSE VERSUS GREAT DEFENSE
The offensive attack for Concord is one of the best in the nation. The Mountain Lions are tied for second in Division II in scoring offense, averaging 3.45 goals per game. Fifth-year senior midfielder
Yasmin Mosby is ranked fourth in goals per game, averaging 1.05 a game. Mosby also ranks fifth in points per game with 2.25. CU as a team is ranked third in shots per game with 22.3.
Bloomsburg's defense is one of the toughest to score against in Division II. The Huskies are ranked fourth in goals-against average with 0.371 and allow an average of 5.3 shots per game to opponents. The defense is led by defender Natalie Holmes and goalkeeper Alexa Ryan.
Both Concord and Bloomsburg are tied for second in Division II in total shutouts with 14 each this fall. Concord's defense, led by senior goalkeeper
Leah Marsh, are ranked fourth in shutout percentage with 0.700. BU is ranked seventh with a shutout percentage of 0.667.
TOURNAMENT RECAP
The Mountain Lions came out victorious against Mercyhurst, 3-1. Mosby started the scoring in the 21
st minute by heading a cross from junior midfielder
Michelle Brogden into the net. After a Lakers goal, CU responded in the 62
nd minute when senior forward
Leah Foster crossed a ball to Brogden who was able to put it past the goalkeeper. Concord added insurance in the 75
th minute on an amazing goal from junior defender
Zoe Belding, who deflected fifth-year senior
Morgan Carmichael's pass with the heel of her foot and into the net. Brogden was credited with her first game-winning goal of the year.
Concord outshot Mercyhurst 26-10. CU's offense forced 17 corner kicks in the match.
With Belding's goal against Mercyhurst, the Mountain Lions have now scored 72 total goals this season and need two more to tie the program record for goals scored in a single season, which was set in 2002.
BLOOMSBURG AT A GLANCE
The Huskies beat West Chester 1-0, Mercyhurst 2-0, and Millersville 1-0 to win the PSAC Tournament and advance to the NCAA Atlantic Regional Tournament. It took one overtime period for Bloomsburg to defeat Gannon in the first round, 2-1. After being down 1-0 early, the Huskies forced a penalty kick in the 42
nd minute that was scored by defender Natalie Holmes to tie the match. Bloomsburg won the game six minutes into overtime on a goal scored by forward Abby Groff. Groff also had the game-winning goal against Millersville in the 89
th minute of the PSAC Championship against Millersville. Bloomsburg is the two-time defending Atlantic Regional Champions.
Holmes is their leader in goals (six), assists (seven), and points (19). The Huskies goalkeeper Alexa Ryan has 14 shutouts and a save percentage of 82.4 percent on 116 shots faced.
Bloomsburg defeated Concord in 2008, which has been the only time the two programs have met.
