RECORDS
CU is 6-15 overall and 2-10 in the MEC after a four-set win at Alderson-Broaddus Friday.

WVWC is 3-18 in 2021 and is 3-9 versus league foes.

TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE OPPORTUNITY
Concord hit just .192 in the win at Alderson-Broaddus which was the second-lowest percentage in a win this season. However, the Mountain Lions limited AB to .087 hitting for the match which was just the fourth time this fall holding an opponent under .100. CU registered 12 total blocks which accounted for 12 of the 31 errors in the match for the Battlers. Junior middle hitter Amber Hall finished one shy of her career high in blocks with six. Senior middle hitter Sheridan Herron added five total blocks as she closes in on the program's top 10 for career blocks. The Jonesville, Virginia native has 231 blocks and 10th place in program history stands at 248.  CU also received 23 digs on the defensive end from senior defensive specialist Kelli Ellison, and 14 more digs as part of a double-double from freshman outside hitter Hannah Steele, her sixth double-double of the season, to limit AB.

NEEDING MORE
Five of the last six matches between Concord and West Virginia Wesleyan have gone to four or more sets, including two matches into the fifth set. The last two matches played at the Carter Center have been four-set affairs while the latest match—on October 1—between the two sides went to four sets at Wesleyan. CU outhit the Bobcats for the match in October, .189 to .174, that included a blistering .538 in the second set, but WVWC took the overall win. Senior setter Imani Rodgers had one of her three double-doubles this season with 34 assists and 13 digs. Herron added 10 kills and a season-high seven blocks. Last spring's four-set match at the Carter Center required the second and third set going to 29 and 31 points, respectively, before a winner was decided. Hall racked up 14 kills and seven blocks. Herron added 12 of her own kills and matched Hall's seven blocks.

WEST VIRGINIA WESLEYAN AT A GLANCE
WVWC has won just twice since the victory at home against Concord. The Bobcats won in four sets over Glenville State four days after the CU win before outlasting Frostburg State in five sets in the middle of October. Lexie Tatum is averaging 2.11 kills per set. Maddie Carpenter and Peyton Hefner combine to average nearly eight assists per set. Joelle Lalla is fourth in the MEC in blocks per set (0.97). Wesleyan is 0-9 in true road matches this season.
