ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University men's soccer team begins a two-game road trip against West Liberty 1:00 p.m. Saturday and Wheeling 4:00 p.m. Wednesday in a pair of Mountain East Conference games.

The Mountain Lions are 1-12 this season and 1-10 versus the MEC.
West Liberty sports a mark of 5-9 and is 4-8 in the conference.
Wheeling is 4-8-1 and 3-7-1 in the MEC.
RACKING UP THE GOALS
In a Sunday win at West Virginia Wesleyan, Concord scored three times as it downed the Bobcats, 3-1. It was the most goals scored by the Maroon and Gray since tallying three goals in a 3-3 tie versus Urbana October 6, 2019. Junior midfielder

Ezequiel Villarreal. Â The three goals scored at WVWC were the most in a Concord win since the end of the 2018 season when the Mountain Lions found the net six times.
SECOND TIME THROUGH
The Mountain Lions played tight with both West Liberty and Wheeling in the first meetings this season. CU opened up the home season with a 2-0 loss versus WLU, but Concord was only outshot by one, 13-12, in the game. The 12 shots represented the second-highest shot total for Concord this season. The Maroon and Gray held a 1-0 lead on Wheeling before the Cardinals tied the game and went on to win in overtime. Bragg tallied the CU goal with a score off a set piece right before halftime—in the 42

ROAD WARRIORS
In two all-time road games at West Liberty, Concord has downed the Hilltoppers, scoring two goals in both games during the 2018 and 2019 season. Shelor scored his first career goal in 2019 in the 2-0 road victory. The road team has won the last four meetings between Concord and WLU. WEST LIBERTY AT A GLANCE
The Hilltoppers snapped a five-game losing streak with a 1-0 win over West Liberty Wednesday. Noah Underwood has recorded 56 saves, second in the MEC behind Brown. Bernardo Vilchis is tied for 10
th in the MEC in goals with five. Vilchis' 10 points are a team best while Vitor Otsuka and Liam Toman both have eight points with Otsuka posting a team-high four assists.
WHEELING AT A GLANCE
Salem Mwelwa had the game-winning at Concord in the 95
th minute. Wheeling and West Virginia Wesleyan finished in a 1-1 tie Wednesday. Richad Afolayanka (10 points) is the only WU player with double-digit points this season. Three of the four wins for the Cardinals have come at home this season.
