CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Concord University football team lost a 48-3 decision to Charleston Saturday afternoon in Mountain East Conference action at Laidley Field.
UC (5-1, 5-1 MEC) jumped out to a 14-0 lead after the first quarter as Concord (2-4, 2-4 MEC) answered early in the second on a 31-yard field goal from sophomore kicker

For a second consecutive game, junior wide receiver
Kris Copeland went over 100 yards rushing as he finished with 110 yards on the ground on just 14 attempts, an average of 7.9 per carry.
Fifth-year senior wide receiver
Tywan Pearce grabbed seven receptions for 58 yards.
Fifth-year senior linebacker
Dwain Porterfield collected a season-high 13 tackles. Senior defensive back
Rashon Lusane added eight tackles and a tackle for loss. All six tackles for junior linebacker
Ty Maust came in the first half.
