ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University men's soccer team takes to the road to face West Virginia Wesleyan 2:00 p.m. Sunday before returning to the YMCA Paul Cline Complex in Beckley to host Davis & Elkins 3:00 p.m. Wednesday in a pair of Mountain East Conference games.

Ted Penn has also recorded an assist this season. Over the last three seasons, Concord has had six different defenders either score a goal or tally an assist, a group that also includes senior defender
Adrian Cabello from the spring. Additionally, Correa is the only Concord player to have started all 11 games.
SETTING THE RECORD
Versus Wheeling, senior goalkeeper
Kyle Brown broke the program record for career saves as he notched his 283
rd save to move past Mitchell Thompson (2012-15). The Warren, Ohio native is now up to 289 saves. Oklahoma Christian's Anthony Trabichet is the Division II active career leader in saves with 290 while Brown is in a three-way tie for second with Lake Erie's Tom John and Anderson's Gal Elyshiv. The last Division II goalkeeper to go over 300 career saves was Montevallo's Robert Kuta who racked up 350 saves from 2016-19. Â Also on Sunday, Brown broke the MEC career saves record, previously held by Urbana's Nathan Jones (2013-16) at 286.
DOWN TO THE WIRE
The last two games—Wheeling and Frostburg State—for Concord have come down to the final moments of regulation or overtime. The Cardinals scored the game-winning goal in overtime. The Mountain Lions got a goal from junior midfielder

WEST VIRGINIA WESLEYAN AT A GLANCE
The Bobcats had a three-game unbeaten streak snapped with a Wednesday loss to Alderson-Broaddus as WVWC fell out of fourth place in the MEC standings, two points behind Frostburg State. Nika Monaselidze has six goals and six assists as he is tied for second in the conference in points (18). Monaselidze had a goal and an assist versus CU earlier this season. Logan Nelson has stopped 39 of 52 shots.
DAVIS & ELKINS AT A GLANCE
D&E heads into the weekend ranked in the top 10 of the Division II National Poll. The Senators had their first blemish of the season in a 2-2 draw with Notre Dame on Wednesday. Daniel Cerezo joins Wesleyan's Monaselidze in a tie in total points as he has scored eight times and assisted on two more D&E goals. Notre Dame was the first team to score twice on Davis & Elkins this season as it has only conceded five goals in 2021. Cerezo had two goals for D&E in a win over Concord earlier this season.
