ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University baseball team plays three games at the MEC-PSAC Mixer II in Glenville, West Virginia at the Sue Morris Complex Friday through Sunday.

RECORDS
The Mountain Lions are 3-3 and are receiving votes in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association (NCBWA) Atlantic Region Poll.
Lock Haven is 1-2 with its only three games coming against UNC-Pembroke.
Clarion is searching for its first win of the season with a mark of 0-7.
SIT EM DOWN
In the first two games of last weekend, the Concord pitching staff piled up 29 strikeouts including 19 against nationally-ranked Mercyhurst. Senior pitcher
Trent Abernathy recorded a career-best 11 against the Lakers while senior outfielder
Adam Linkous came in to tally a single-game best six in three innings of relief versus MU. In a Saturday start against Mansfield, senior pitcher
Bryson Booher tied his career best with five strikeouts across five innings. As a staff, CU is 16
th nationally in strikeout-to-walk ratio (3.32).
STAUNTON RIVER POWER
In a 6-4 win over Mansfield on Saturday, freshman catcher
Nick Funk provided a go-ahead sixth-inning home run for the difference in the game. Funk blasted in his first collegiate home run in just his fourth at-bat. Funk, a graduate of Staunton River High in suburban Roanoke, Virginia, and fellow Staunton River alum senior catcher
Jakob Divers have accounted for three of the four CU home runs this season. Divers hit his second home run of the season in the narrow 5-4 loss to Mercyhurst in extra innings. In each of the previous two seasons, Divers has two home runs. The other home run for the season came from redshirt freshman outfielder

LIGHTING UP THE SCOREBOARD
The Mountain Lions are 5-0 all-time against Clarion including an 11-7 win last season in Glenville. Nine of the 11 runs came in the sixth inning as Concord backed up a stellar starting effort from junior pitcher
Logan Morrison. The Luray, Virginia native struck out a career-best 10 over six innings as it was part of a 3-0 start to the season for Morrison. Divers and senior infielder
Nathan Neff each drove in two runs in the contest. Additionally, junior infielder
Anthony Stehlin struck out three in two innings of relief to hold off the Golden Eagles.
FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHING
According to the Concord records, Saturday and Sunday's games against Lock Haven will be the first time the Mountain Lions face off with LHU. The all-time series record books go back to the start of the 1997 season. As it stands, this is the only first-time opponent for Concord this season. The last time CU played an opponent for the first time in program history was during the 2017 season in a home series with Lake Erie.
CLARION AT A GLANCE
Of the seven losses for Clarion, five have come by four runs or less including a 2-1 defeat by MEC foe Frostburg State February 22. Nick Fugh is batting .348 and is tied for the team lead with four RBI. Four of the seven hits for Alex Ficorilli have been doubles. On the mound, Trevor McGee has allowed just three earned runs in 11 innings, and opponents have been held to a .143 batting average.
LOCK HAVEN AT A GLANCE
Scott Leitholf held UNCP to one run over five innings as he earned the win in a 4-3 victory for the Bald Eagles on February 8. Isaac Porter batted 5-for-13 with three doubles in the series at UNC-Pembroke. LHU fell 13-2 and 18-4 to UNCP in the first and third games of the series. Lock Haven faces Glenville State before consecutive games with Concord.
