BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Concord University baseball team had 10 players named to the All-Mountain East Conference Teams that were released Wednesday afternoon including first team selections, senior pitcher Will Guay and sophomore infielder Anthony Stehlin

Senior catcher Jordan Clark, junior outfielder Ryan Fralin and junior outfielder Adam Linkous were voted to the All-MEC Second Team. Meanwhile, senior pitcher Troy Beckner, junior outfielder Jakob Divers, junior infielder Nathan Neff, senior infielder Brett Simmons and senior outfielder Evan Webb were all named to the All-MEC Honorable Mention squad.

Guay earns his first career All-MEC Award after going 6-3 on the mound with a 2.53 ERA and 75 strikeouts in 64 innings. Opponents batted just .199 off the West Palm Beach, Florida native. Among starters, Guay had the best ERA in the MEC and finished in a tie for fourth with Fairmont State's Will Brown in total strikeouts. Guay needs three strikeouts to tie the single-season record for strikeouts at CU. Concord's number-one weekend starter finished the year strong by pitching back-to-back shutouts of Charleston and UVa.-Wise. Guay allowed just five hits and struck out 18 batters in his final 14 innings of the regular season.

In his first full season at shortstop, Stehlin batted .375 with 61 runs scored, 26 RBI and 18 extra-base hits including 13 doubles. Stehlin's on-base percentage of .510 was third in the MEC and his fielding percentage of .965 was the best among shortstops in the conference. Additionally, Stehlin swiped 17 bases during the 48-game regular season which was fifth in the MEC. Stehlin had 17 multi-hit games during the seaon and recorded a 17-game hitting streak during the month of March.

Clark was one of the best run producers in the MEC regardless of position during his senior season. The Scott Depot, West Virginia native hit .368 with seven home runs, 10 doubles and 48 RBI. Clark finished the season ranked fifth in the MEC in RBI. Not only did Clark get it done with the bat, but he was also one of the best defensive backstops in the conference as he threw out 38 percent of would-be base stealers, an MEC best. Although not tested as much as other MEC catchers, Clark ranked third in throwing out runners with 14.

Fralin was Concord's best hitter over the 32-game MEC slate as he hit .404. Overall, Fralin led the Mountain Lions with a .393 average and totaled 33 RBI to go with eight doubles and one triple. The Roanoke, Virginia native also stole eight bases. After not batting above .300 during the month of March, Fralin saw his average climb into the .300s in early April where it eventually rose to a season-best .404 on April 15.

Although Linkous was CU's starting center fielder, he was one of the best relief pitchers in the MEC in 2019. Linkous made a league-high 21 appearances as he tied for the league-lead in saves with six in 25 innings of work. The Blacksburg, Virginia native struck out 23 batters and held opposing hitters to a .155 average. With his next save, Linkous would break the single-season record at CU for saves.

Beckner registered a 3.81 ERA to go with a 6-2 record and 54 strikeouts in 56.2 innings as he earned All-MEC for a third straight season. Earlier this year, the Roanoke, Virginia native became the all-time strikeouts leader at Concord and now has 231 career strikeouts. Seven of the 10 starters for Beckner were of at least five innings and three or less earned runs.

Neff was Honorable Mention All-MEC this season after being All-MEC Second Team as a freshman.

Simmons landed on the All-MEC Honorable Mention Team for the first time in his career as he, like Neff, had a career year in his final season at Concord. Simmons batted .322—his first season over .300 in his career—to go with 15 doubles, two triples and three home runs. The Callaway, Virginia native's 35 RBI were the most among second basemen in the MEC. Simmons also stole eight bases.

His 15 doubles were just outside the top five as was his slugging percentage of .669. Webb made all-conference for a third straight season.
