BECKLEY, W.Va. – The Concord University men's soccer team was clipped by Notre Dame, 2-0, Wednesday afternoon in a Mountain East Conference game at Cline Stadium.
Notre Dame (11-3-2, 10-2-2 MEC) got on the board with a score in the 18
th minute to jump out to a 1-0 lead. From there, junior goalkeeper
Kyle Brown made six saves throughout the duration of the game to keep CU (3-11-2, 2-11-2 MEC) within one goal of the Falcons.

Bruno Baptista had a chance to tie the game in the 34
th minute, but the shot was turned aside by Notre Dame goalkeeper Daniele De Angelis.
In the 80
th minute, senior midfielder
Courtney Skerritt had a shot blocked at the top of the penalty area as Concord searched for an equalizer in the contest.
However, in the 85
th minute the Falcons padded their lead with a goal to go up two on CU.

Jacob Miller added a shot on goal in the early going off a Concord corner kicker. CU was outshot in the contest, 15-3.
The Mountain Lions conclude the regular season on the road 4:00 p.m. Saturday against nationally-ranked Charleston.
