Salem is looking for its first win with a mark of 0-25.

Urbana is 8-8 overall, but 4-1 in the MEC.

DIG PINK
Friday night's match with Urbana will be the program's annual Dig Pink Match in support of breast cancer awareness during the month of October. All fans are encouraged to wear pink, and donations for Make-A-Wish will be collected by the Concord Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Last season, the Mountain Lions won a five-set thriller over Glenville State on Dig Pink Night. Senior setter Jenna Mounts handed out a career-best 33 assists. Sophomore setter Imani Rodgers added another 19 assists.

DIG THE BALL
At Charleston on Saturday, Concord lost in four sets as it won the middle set. Junior defensive specialist Lindsay Maddox led the way as she had 33 digs in the match, a season best. It was also the second highest total for the Amherst, Virginia native as her single-game high is 41 against Lock Haven in 2017. Junior outside hitter Kirsti Pouncy also finished with double-digit digs as she went 11—the sixth time this season Pouncy has had 10 or more digs in a match.

HIGH SUCCESS RATE
With a strong run of matches since the beginning of the month, freshman middle hitter Amber Hall has vaulted herself into the top 10 in the MEC in hitting percentage. The Massillon, Ohio native has hit .200 or better in five of the six matches in October. For the season, Hall is ninth in conference with a .252 hitting percentage. Speaking of MEC rankings, sophomore middle hitter Sheridan Herron moved up to fifth in the MEC in blocks per set at 1.03 after collecting 13 total blocks against West Virginia State and Charleston. The Jonesville, Virginia native has gone seven straight matches with at least one block.

GOOD TO SEE YOU AGAIN
Dating back to 2005, Concord has only played Salem seven times, but has won six of the previous meetings, including taking two matches from the Tigers in 2017. CU won in three sets during the 2017 Concord Classic and needed four sets to take down Salem in a neutral-court match at Notre Dame College. Maddox had 39 digs in the two matches while Mounts went for 23 total assists. In the six sets Concord won, SU made it to 20 points just once.

THE OPPONENTS AT A GLANCE
Notre Dame's Pagie Staudacher is second in the MEC with 10.1 kills per set. Meanwhile, Urbana's Anna Davis ranks fifth with 8.6 kills per set. NDC is hitting .217 in the conference, one of three teams in the MEC above .200 for the season. On the flip side, Urbana is holding opponents to .146, one of three teams in the conference limiting teams to below .150. Salem has yet to win a set this season. The Tigers have played MEC schools Charleston, Davis & Elkins, Glenville State, Notre Dame, West Liberty and West Virginia Wesleyan.
