RECORDS
With an 86-83 win over Bluefield State Monday, Concord improved to 13-5 overall and is 8-4 in the Mountain East Conference.

Glenville State is 7-11 this season and 2-10 versus MEC foes.

Meanwhile, West Virginia Wesleyan has an 8-10 mark and is 5-7 in the MEC.

CARDIAC CATS
The Mountain Lions survived an upset bid from Bluefield State as sophomore forward David Bea Mulumba scored five straight points in the final 38 seconds to lift CU to a three-point win. The Antwerp, Belgium native canned a three-pointer to put Concord up 82-79 before notching a game-winning layup with seven seconds remaining in the second half. With Mulumba's two baskets, Concord has now made seven game-tying or go-ahead shots in the final minute of regulation and/or overtime this season. Senior guard Tommy Bolte did it twice at West Liberty, sophomore guard/forward Malik Johnson made a layup in the first overtime at Charleston, freshman guard Brandon Kennedy hit a game-tying three-pointer to force a second overtime at WLU and junior guard Jair Rodgers canned a triple of his own to force overtime at the Carter Center with UC. The rest of the MEC teams have combined for six one-possession results, and the only team with multiple one-possession games besides CU is Fairmont State against Glenville State and Urbana as well as GSC versus Fairmont State and Urbana.

BACKCOURT PRODUCTION
Bolte and Rodgers combined for 62 of Concord's 86 points against Bluefield State. Bolte poured in 35 points, marking the sixth time in the last seven games he has scored at least 30 points. The Chillicothe, Ohio native has seen his scoring spike from 27.0 points per game to 30.9 during the stretch. Additionally, Bolte is closing in on 1,800 career points as he has 1,787 for his career. On Monday night, Bolte passed Randy Jennings for eighth on the all-time scoring list at CU. For Rodgers, his 27 points against Bluefield State were the most since he tallied 28 against West Virginia Wesleyan on December 15. The South Bend, Indiana native knocked in three three-pointers to bring his season total to 73. Only nine players in program history have hit 75 or more three-pointers in a single season.

NO SHOT CLOCK NEEDED
Earlier this season, Concord outgunned Glenville State for a 101-97 win in a game that featured 152 shot attempts, the most in a 40-minute game for CU this season. The teams combined for 29 made three-pointers as Bolte connected on five triples for the Mountain Lions while Rodgers had four more makes from three-point range. Johnson had one of his best games in the Maroon and Gray as he notched his first career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. In the last three games versus GSC, Concord is averaging 93 points per game versus the Pioneers.

SLOWLY BUT SURELY
While Wednesday's game will be high octane and fast paced, the road trip to Wesleyan will be different. The Bobcats are the only team in the MEC not scoring at least 75 points per game, but they are leading the league in scoring defense (72.2). CU was able to stymie WWVC into just 58 points as Concord earned a 70-58 home win on December 15. The 58 points allowed by the Mountain Lions were the fewest in over two years as they also held Wesleyan to 33 percent (9-for-27) shooting in the second half and 22 points. Rodgers had nearly half of Concord's points as he dropped in 28 on eight made three-pointers, tying a career best. Concord was equally impressive locking down the Bobcats last season on the road. After trailing 35-32 at halftime, the Mountain Lions held Wesleyan to 37 percent (10-for-27) shooting in the second half in an 80-69 road victory.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME
Over the last five seasons, including the current, Concord is 3-1 inside the tight quarters of the Rockefeller Center, home to West Virginia Wesleyan. On Saturday, Concord will be going for its fourth win at WVWC. The only other places Concord has won more road games since the start of the 2014-15 season is at Glenville State and West Virginia State where it has also won four times, going 4-1 at each arena.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
3- Concord shot 92.6 percent from the foul line (25-for-27) against BSC, the third time this season CU has been over 90 percent from the charity stripe.

11- Steals by Bolte in the last four games after having just 23 through 14 games.

82- Number of shots by Concord at Glenville State, where it held a +12 advantage in shots taken.

GLENVILLE STATE AT A GLANCE
Phil Bledsoe along with Notre Dame's Will Vorhees are the only two players in the conference averaging a double-double. The Marshall transfer is scoring 19.4 points and grabbing 11.4 rebounds per game. Jamal Pollydore is adding 15.7 points per contest. GSC is second in the league in scoring offense at 94.2 points per game, but it is also allowing 98.3 points per game. Glenville State is tied with Fairmont State for most three-pointers made per game in the MEC (11.9).

WEST VIRGINIA WESLEYAN AT A GLANCE
Though Wesleyan is holding team to 72 points per game, it does allow the opponent to shoot over 47 percent from the field. The Bobcats do a good job of sharing the ball as they average nearly 17 assists per game, 16.8, good enough for second in the MEC. Dusan Vicentic leads WVWC in scoring at 14.7 points per game, but Clay Todd (13.9 points per game), Fred Brondsted (12.3) and Luka Petrovic (11.7) follow closely behind.
