RECORDS
The Mountain Lions have won four straight games to move their record to 4-3.

Winners of five consecutive contests, OVU is 6-4.

MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
CU took both games from Pitt-Johnstown last weekend as it outscored the Mountain Cats 28-9.

The top of Concord's batting order paced the offensive output in a 12-4 game one. The 1-4 hitters of sophomore infielder Nathan Neff, senior infielder Chad Frazier, junior outfielder Evan
Webb and junior catcher / outfielder Jordan Clark combined to go 7-for-14 with eight RBI and eight runs scored.
Clark collected three hits and three RBI.

Senior catcher Paul Williams drove in a career-best five runs in Concord's 16-5 win on Sunday. The Vinton, Virginia native notched five RBI by driving two doubles to the outfield fence—tying a career high.

Junior pitcher Troy Beckner earned his 10th career win by tossing five innings, allowing two runs and fanning eight hitters in game one. Beckner ranks in the top 50 nationally in strikeouts per nine at 13.85. The Roanoke, Virginia native has 20 strikeouts in 13 innings of work this season.

The Mountain Lions' bullpen was strong over the weekend as they covered eight innings and allowed just two runs. The relievers consisted of sophomore Trent Abernathy, sophomore Cody Dooley, junior Will Guay and freshman Logan Morrison.

In three appearances that have covered 6.2 innings, Morrison has allowed just six hits and two unearned while recording seven strikeouts.

CU took full advantage of its opportunities with runners in scoring position against Pitt-Johnstown as 11 of its 15 hits came with runners on either second or third.

Frazier leads the Maroon and Gray in average with runners in scoring position at .556 (5-for-9) while junior infielder Adrian Peralta is 3-for-6 with runners in scoring position.

The four-game winning streak for Concord is its longest since having the same streak in two doubleheader sweeps of Wheeling Jesuit and Fairmont State March 25 and 30 last season.

CU also won five straight last season from March 5-19.

The Mountain Lions have not faced Ohio Valley since 2013, but own a 28-13 series advantage between the two former West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) school.

In 2013, Concord swept the Fighting Scots in a series at Anderson Field where CU scored at least 16 runs in each of the three contests.

OHIO VALLEY AT A GLANCE
The last five wins for OVU have come in the way of a doubleheader sweep of California (Pa.) and a three-game sweep of Urbana at Epling Stadium in Beckley, West Virginia.

Five of the six wins for the Fighting Scots have come away from campus as the games with Cal were played in Washington, Pennsylvania at the Washington Wild Things home park in the independent Frontier League.

Mitchell Davis is batting .350 on the season with a team-best nine RBI as he has played in just seven of the 10 games.

Matthew Carey tossed a complete game against Urbana as he limited the Blue Knights to four hits and gave up two unearned runs. Carey struck out 12 hitters in the contest.
