ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University men's soccer team closed its season with a convincing 6-2 victory over Bluefield College Wednesday afternoon at Anderson Field.
Junior forward
Max Suckel recorded a first-half hat trick to help the Mountain Lions (5-11-1) lead 4-1 at halftime. Suckel was joined in the scoring column over the first 45 minutes by junior midfielder
Maxime Ramioulle who scored his team-leading eighth goal of the season.

Moulay Hassani and freshman midfielder
Diego Marti Perez were responsible for assists in the first half.
Bluefield College (4-10-1) cut into the Concord lead with a goal in the 55
th minute to make it 4-2, but playing his last game at Anderson Field, senior midfielder
Matt Henderson netted the final two goals of the game. Freshman midfielder
Adrian Cabello assisted on the first of Henderson's goals as he served a ball into the penalty area from mid field.
The first-half assist from Perez also came on a service from the midfield area that allowed Ramioulle to tally a goal.
The six goals scored by the Mountain Lions were the most since the men's soccer program was re-instated prior to the 2008 season.
Coming into Wednesday, Suckel had not scored a goal in his Concord career before the trio of first-half scores.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Kyle Brown saved one shot in the first 55 minutes in the net for CU. Junior goalkeeper
Bryce Deeringer made two saves over the final 35 minutes of the contest.
Wednesday marked the final game in the careers Henderson, Ching Lok Au and
Alec Yost. Two other seniors,
Xander Bailey and
Josh Sheffield, were unable to play because of injury.
