MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
Concord will have a nine-day layoff since its last match against UVa.-Wise and its Thursday contest versus Urbana.

The Mountain Lions defeated UVa.-Wise in three sets on September 25 as CU controlled the match throughout winning 25-14, 25-16 and 25-18.

CU hit .378 in the match which was a season high for hitting percentage with at least 50 attempts in the contest. Senior middle hitter Brooke Heck hit a match-high .615 with nine kills in 13 chances. Senior outside hitter Ellie Lawrence also went for nine kills and hit .500 in the match.

Senior outside hitter Alexi Pranckus notched seven kills and eight digs versus UVa.-Wise as she went over 1,000 digs for her career, becoming the ninth player in program history to accomplish the feat.

Freshman right side Camryn Huber led the way for Concord in blocks as she tallied six total blocks, and the Mountain Lions as a team had eight blocks. Over its last seven matches, CU has at least six blocks in six contests including three matches with 10 or more blocks.

Huber is just below a block per set at 0.93 which ranks eighth in the MEC. Furthermore, Huber has five or more total blocks in five of her last seven matches.

The Mountain Lions have not defeated Notre Dame or Urbana since the 2014 season.

In each of the last three seasons, Concord has won one set against Notre Dame.

Heck has notched 25 combined kills against the Falcons in her last two matches. Last season, the Huntington, West Virginia native added seven blocks in the four-set loss.

As a freshman, junior setter Jenna Mounts went for 20 assists on the road against Notre Dame.

CU was swept by Urbana in 2017 at the Carter Center. In 2016, the contest with the Blue Knights went four sets, and in 2015 the teams required five sets before UU won the match.
