ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University men's soccer team travels to Salem International for a non-conference contest 4:00 p.m. Thursday before staying on the road for a 1:00 p.m. Mountain East Conference tilt against Notre Dame College.

RECORDS
CU is 0-3-1 with a 0-1 mark in the MEC.
Salem International has won three straight contests to push its record to 3-1.
The Falcons are 3-1 and have beaten Wheeling Jesuit for a 1-0 start in the MEC.
MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
Concord lost its most recent game, a road contest at Bluefield College Tuesday.
Senior midfielder
Mahamadou Coulibaly scored the lone goal for the Mountain Lions in a 2-1 defeat.
It was the first goal for Coulibaly since September 13, 2015, and just his second career score.
Heading into the next two contests, freshman goalkeeper
Kyle Brown is sixth in the league in total saves (11) and saves per game (2.75).
Sophomore forward
Sam Ashton is seventh in the MEC in total shots with seven. Ashton took three shots in the game at Bluefield College.
CU will be taking on Salem International for the first time since 2010. The last time two teams played, the Mountain Lions won 6-0.
The men's team will be trying to copy what the women's team did earlier this week when they won 3-0 on the road versus Salem International.
Last season, Concord fell on the road against NDC, but rebounded for a tie at home against the perennial MEC Championship contender.
Sophomore defender
Pedro Bassin headed a goal in for the Maroon and Gray on an assist from senior midfielder
Yacouba Issa Traore for the Concord score.
It wasn't until the final five minutes of the match when the Falcons evened the game at 1-1.
Junior defender
Xander Bailey did a stellar jo of stymieing one of the MEC's best players in Leonardo Paiva. As a flanker on the CU defense, Bailey chased Paiva limited Paiva until the final minutes of the contest.
SALEM INTERNATIONAL AT A GLANCE
SIU won its previous game over Carlow 11-0. During its three-game winning streak, the Tigers have outscored their opponents 18-2.
Salem International defeated mutual opponent Shippensburg 2-1 earlier this season.
NOTRE DAME AT A GLANCE
The Falcons have two shutouts this season in victories over Wheeling Jesuit and Gannon.
Paiva has accounted for five of the 11 Notre Dame goals this season, and is ranked second in the league in goals.
Daniele De Angelis is allowing less than a goal per game, 0.96, in net for the Falcons.
