URBANA, Ohio – The Concord University football team concluded the season with a 36-15 loss at Urbana Saturday afternoon in Mountain East Conference play at UU Stadium.
Concord (2-9, 2-8 MEC) kept things close for three quarters before the Blue Knights (5-6, 4-6 MEC) scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns for the final margin of victory.
UU opened up the scoring just two minutes into the game. Urbana would hang onto a 7-0 edge for the remainder of the period. However, senior running back
Jamal Petty scored the first of his two touchdowns on the afternoon with a 25-yard rush at the 13:40 mark of the second quarter. The Mountain Lions took the lead on a two-point play as junior tight end

The Blue Knights answered right back with a quick four-play drive to gain a 14-8 lead, and added a touchdown as time expired in the first half to carry a 21-8 advantage into halftime.
After a scoreless third quarter, Petty got Concord to within six points, 21-15, with a short four-yard plunge that capped five-play, 82-yard drive. Petty accounted for all 82 yards on the drive on four carries.
Down just six, the Mountain Lions were unable to get a pivotal stop as Urbana drove down the field to march the lead back out to 29-15. The Blue Knights added a touchdown with less than two minutes remaining to win by 21.
Petty finished 13 yards shy of his career-high in rushing as he ran for 164 yards on 16 carries to go along with the two scores.
Freshman quarterback
Adam Fulton completed 10 passes to eight different receivers as he threw for 85 yards. Senior tight end
Jordan Bryant was the top target as he hauled in three receptions for 32 yards.
Junior linebacker
Zach Malone led Concord with 10 tackles. Johnson played his final game in the Maroon and Gray as he notched a fumble recovery and intercepted his 11
th career pass. Johnson tied Craig Plymal for fifth on the all-time interceptions list at CU with his pick.
Sophomore linebacker
Ty Walker forced two fumbles on the afternoon. Sophomore defensive back
Ke'Shawn Hall recorded seven tackles while also forcing and recovering a fumble.
