ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University volleyball team continues its road trip as it travels to Shepherd 7:00 p.m. Friday and Fairmont State 1:00 p.m. Saturday.

RECORDS
Concord is 9-15 overall and 3-4 in the Mountain East Conference as it currently sits in a tie for seventh with West Liberty and West Virginia State.
Shepherd is 15-5 overall and 4-3 against league foes.
The Fighting Falcons has compiled a record of 14-6 on the year and is 5-2 in the MEC.
MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
Concord's last match was outside of the league against Alderson-Broaddus as CU dropped the match in five sets to the Battlers.
Sophomore middle hitter
Emily Ellis tied her career-high with 15 kills to go along with eight blocks, just missing a double-double.
Sophomore outside hitter
Ellie Lawrence recorded her own double-double with 11 kills and 15 digs, two digs off her career best. It was Lawrence's third double-double in 2017.
With her recent strong play, Lawrence has leaped from ninth to seventh in all-time hitting percentage at Concord at .192.
Junior middle hitter
Brooke Heck led all Mountain Lions with 16 kills on the road earlier in the week. After her performance against Alderson-Broaddus, Heck now needs 33 kills to become the ninth player in program history with 900 kill in a career.
By notching 28 assists at A-B, senior setter
Casey Mandeville went over 500 assists for the third consecutive season. Mandeville was honored prior to last Friday's game against Notre Dame for notching 2,000 assists in her career.
The Plain City, Ohio native now has 2,125 assists in her career.
In the match against Notre Dame, Mandeville rolled up a career-best 36 assists in four sets.
Speaking of career records, senior middle hitter
Shea Hoffman needs three blocks to move into seventh all-time at Concord.
After 13 blocks in her last three contests, the South Charleston, West Virginia native has 270 career rejections.
Heading into conference play this weekend, Heck and Ellis are ranked second and third in the MEC in hitting percentage at .298 and .296, respectively. Urbana is the only other school with two or more players ranked in the top 10 in the league in hitting percentage.
CU is traveling to Fairmont State and Shepherd after hosting the teams last year at the Carter Center.
Concord and SU needed five sets to decide a winner last season with the Rams squeaking out a victory. Heck recorded 12 kills in the match while junior outside hitter
Alexi Pranckus just missed a double-double with nine kills and eight digs.
Meanwhile, the Mountain Lions lost three close sets to Fairmont State. Heck once again paced Concord with 10 kills.
Mandeville had 22 or CU's 30 assists in the match.
SHEPHERD AT A GLANCE
The Rams have already surpassed last year's win total when they went just 12-20 in 2016.
Shepherd is first in the MEC in opponent hitting percentage as it limiting the opposition to .123.
Nicole Murray is leading the conference in blocks per set at 1.09.
FAIRMONT STATE AT A GLANCE
Mackenzie Harrison leads the MEC in kills per set this season at 5.9. The next closest to Harrison is NDC's Melissa Dunlap at 4.1.
Harrison had 22 kills versus Concord last season.
The Fighting Falcons are second in the conference in hitting percentage at .214.
