BLUEFIELD, Va. – The Concord University volleyball team won three tightly-contest sets, but managed to sweep Bluefield College Thursday evening in non-conference action at the Dome Gymnasium.
The Mountain Lions took the first two sets by two points, 25-23 each, before winning the third set 25-20.
CU was led by sophomore middle hitter
Brooke Heck who had eight kills without an error in 21 attempts. Freshman middle hitter
Emily Ellis had six kills. Meanwhile, junior setter
Casey Mandeville had 19 assists for the Mountain Lions.
Concord begins a four-match weekend at the MEC-PSAC Crossover 1:00 p.m. Friday against Gannon.
