MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
CU has a record of 4-7 this season after a 1-1 showing at the Southern Virginia Triangular September 13.

Sophomore outside hitter Alexi Pranckus collected her first double-double of the season with 12 kills and 10 digs in a five-set win over SVU.

Meanwhile, redshirt freshman outside hitter Ellie Lawrence notched the first double-double of her career with 12 kills and 15 digs.

Junior setter Casey Mandeville had the first 30-assist game of her career with 31 helpers against Virginia Union at SVU then followed it up with 32 assists against Southern Virginia.

Two weeks ago at the MEC-PSAC Crossover Mandeville became the seventh player in program history to tally 1,000 assists in a career and now has 1,112 assists.

Junior middle hitter Shea Hoffman is also closing in on a career milestone. The South Charleston, West Virginia native needs 11 blocks to reach 200 for her career.

Heading into the weekend, freshman outside hitter Emily Ellis has recorded 10 or more kills in three of her last four matches.

The Mountain Lions have never beaten Charleston under head coach Kate Southcott.

CU lost in four sets to the Golden Eagles in each meeting last season as sophomore middle hitter Brooke Heck combined for 24 kills in two matches while sophomore libero Erin Shannon had 26 digs in the first meeting.

Concord and West Virginia State split two matches last season last year with each team winning at home.

In fact, the teams have split the last eight meetings going back to 2012.

Against WVSU last season, Heck and Pranckus each had 11 kills in each match.

UC is 6-7 on the season and like Concord have not played a conference opponent.
