Mountain Lion Notes
The Mountain Lions have a 2-2 record on the year. Urbana stands at 2-1-1 in 2016, and is ranked 16th in the country in the most recent NSCAA Coaches Poll. West Virginia Wesleyan has opened the season at 1-3.

The Mountain Lions have scored eight goals so far this season, for an average of two goals per game.

Last season, it took the Mountain Lions until an October 20th defeat to Findlay 2-1 to net their eighth goal of the year, a result that Concord flipped this season for a 2-1 victory against the Oilers.

The eight goals that Concord has scored has come off of the foot or head of five different players.

Junior midfielder Max Simpson leads the way for CU, with three goals and one assist to date.

Simpson's numbers this season so far rival his total numbers for the 2015 season as the Huntington, West Virginia native finished with four goals and two assists last season.

Several newcomers have found the net for the Mountain Lions this year, with freshman forward Sam Ashton contributing two goals and one assists in four appearances.

Eight of Ashton's nine shots this season have been on frame.

Also scoring for CU this year is freshman forward Jack Garwood, freshman defender Pedro Bassin, and freshman midfielder Josh Mattson.

Defensively, CU managed to earn its first clean sheet after defeating Shepherd 4-0 on Sunday.

The Mountain Lions held the Rams to just four total shots through 90 minutes.

CU and Urbana have split the last four meetings, with Urbana taking both games from Concord last season, and Concord sweeping the Blue Knights in 2014.

UU came from behind to beat Concord 2-1 in Athens last season before defeating CU 4-0 in Urbana.

Simpson has historically produced against the Blue Knights

Simpson netted the opening goal vs. UU in Athens in 2015.

Two years ago, Simpson assisted senior defender Jared Garlow in scoring in Concord's 4-1 win over Urbana.

Simpson also scored the opening goal from a free kick vs. Urbana in Concord's 2-1 win in Ohio in 2014.

Against the Bobcats last season, CU lost 5-0 in Buckhannon, before falling 1-0 in Beckley.

CU has never defeated the Bobcats, with WVWC leading the all-time series 10-0.

SCOUTING URBANA
The Blue Knights are ranked 16th in the country, with wins over Ohio Dominican and Lock Haven, a tie against Mercyhurst, and their only loss coming to the #1 ranked University of Charleston.

UU has managed to score in every game this season.  Thibaut Bourrier has scored two goals, with Lewis Dunne, Raphael Northoff, Jordan Coxall, and Jake Wischmeier all have tallied goals for Urbana.

Urbana has scored four of their six goals in the second half.
