ATHENS, W.Va. - The Concord University softball team suffered two defeats to West Virginia Wesleyan in Mountain East Conference action on Sunday afternoon at the CU Softball Complex.

Concord drops to 29-21 overall (18-14 MEC) while WVWC improves to 45-7 overall (27-5 MEC).Â

Game 1: West Virginia Wesleyan 14 - Concord 0
West Virginia Wesleyan scored six runs in the first inning to take and then added four more runs in the second inning to make the score 10-0 after two innings. The Mountain Lions did not register a hit as Hannah Vet and Alyssa Shawgo combined for a no-hitter through five innings.

Game 2: West Virginia Wesleyan 10 - Concord 0
West Virginia Wesleyan used back-to-back-to-back home runs in the second inning to jump out to a 3-0 lead. The Bobcats plated seven more runs in the third inning. The Mountain Lions collected three hits on the day. Freshman second baseman
