RADFORD, Va. – The Concord University women's basketball returned to the hardwood after the Christmas break for an exhibition against Division I-foe Radford, falling 78-51, at the Dedmon Center.
The Mountain Lions hung tough with a Highlander team that entered the contest with a mark of 7-3 overall, and two of those losses came to ranked teams in Virginia Tech and Kentucky.
At halftime, CU trailed 34-22 as it held Radford to 42.8 percent shooting (12-for-28) in the first half.

Lindsey Overbey finished with a team-high 16 points with seven points coming in the fourth quarter. Senior guard
Alexis Lowery also scored in double figures, tallying 13 points.

Emily Boothe (six) combined for 13 of Concord's 17 bench points on the afternoon. Boothe also added a team-high four rebounds.

Olivia Morgan nabbed four steals for the game and handed out three assists.
Concord resumes Mountain East Conference play 5:30 p.m. Tuesday against Shepherd as it starts a four-game home stretch at the Carter Center.
