GLENVILLE, W.Va. – The Concord University volleyball extended its winning streak to three with a sweep of Glenville State Saturday afternoon at the Waco Center in Mountain East Conference action.
CU improves to 9-9 overall and 4-2 in MEC play while Glenville State falls to 0-19 overall and 0-6 in the conference.
The Mountain Lions won by scores of 25-23, 25-18 and 25-15.
Sophomore middle hitter
Brooke Heck had one of the best matches of her career as she tallied 11 kills in 12 chances while also notching two blocks. During Concord's three-match winning streak, Heck has had 35 kills and nine blocks.
Junior middle hitter
Alexis Elliott provided nine kills for Concord while junior outside hitter
Lisette Roldan notched a season-high eight kills without committing an error in 16 chances.
Sophomore libero
Erin Shannon controlled things defensively by recording 25 digs. In her last three matches, Shannon has 79 digs. Junior setter
Casey Mandeville added 27 assists for the Mountain Lions
On Saturday, 10 different Concord plays had at least one kill.
The Maroon and Gray returns home 7:00 p.m. Tuesday for a non-conference tilt with King University.
