MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
CU enters the weekend with a 10-9 overall record and 4-2 mark in league play as the conference season nears the halfway point.

Concord sits in fourth place in the MEC.

For the first time under eighth-year head coach Kate Southcott, the Mountain Lions defeated King University Tuesday night in four sets.

Redshirt freshman outside hitter Ellie Lawrence matched a career-high with 12 kills while collecting a .357 hitting percentage against the Tornado.

Lawrence has been instrumental in CU's win streak as three of her four double-digit kill performance on the season has come during the last 10 days.

Reigning MEC Player of the Week, sophomore middle hitter Brooke Heck notched 11 kills and tied her career-best with five blocks versus King.

In four matches in October, the Huntington, West Virginia native is hitting .393 which is more than 100 points higher than her overall season average of .277.

Additionally, Heck now qualifies for career hitting percentage at Concord by having 1,010 total attack attempts in her time at CU.

Heck has a .320 career hitting percentage with the next best at .264.

Junior setter Casey Mandeville continued her ascent up the all-time assist chart as a Mountain Lion.

By handing out 28 assists on Tuesday night, Mandeville passed Tomi Dement for sixth place on the all-time list at Concord.

During Concord's four-game win streak, sophomore libero Erin Shannon has averaged nearly 24 digs per contest that included a 34-dig effort, a career-high, in a five-set victory at West Virginia Wesleyan last weekend.

Additionally, sophomore outside hitter Alexi Pranckus recorded a personal-best 28 digs versus WVWC to assure a CU win.

In 2015, the Mountain Lions split matches with NDC and Urbana as Concord won in four sets over Notre Dame before falling in five to the Blue Knights.

Junior outside hitter Lisette Roldan (16 kills, 18 digs) and Pranckus (19 kills, 16 digs) each recorded a double-double for the Maroon and Gray.

Pranckus had 12 kills and 13 digs versus UU to go along with 3 service aces.

Mandeville combined for 45 assists in the two matches.
