Aaron Miller and senior guard
Rob Reed combined for 54 points as the Concord University men's basketball team rolled over UVa.-Wise 100-85 Thursday night at the Prior Center in Mountain East Conference action.
Concord improves to 12-5 overall and 7-4 in the MEC while UVa.-Wise falls to 3-14 and 1-10 in the league.

After the Cavaliers crept back to within 19-13 with 12:35 remaining in the first half, CU went on a 21-7 run over the next seven minutes to take a commanding 40-20 lead with 5:16 remaining in the half.
During the run, Reed scored 15 of his 25 first half points, including knocking in three three-pointers.
The Mountain Lions continued the onslaught during the first half, taking a 60-32 lead into halftime. CU's 28-point advantage wad due in large part to Concord's ability to connect from beyond the arc. The Maroon and Gray hit 10-of-19 three-pointers led by Reed's five triples. Miller and Wade also hit two three-pointers in the first half.
Concord took its biggest lead of the game at 71-38 at the 16:51 mark of the second half after a Reed layup. CU was able to keep the lead at or over 20 points for majority of the second half until a late run by the Cavaliers made the final margin of victory 100-85 in favor of Concord.
Miller and Reed each finished with 27 points. Miller completed his evening shooting 11-for-15 from the field while Reed was perfect from the foul line (8-for-8). In Miller's 27 points was a layup to begin the second half that pushed Miller over the 1,000-point plateau. The Stephens City, Virginia native now has 1,014 points for his career.
Senior forward
Terry Hopewell and Wade also scored in double figures by scoring 10 apiece. Hopewell added 14 rebounds for his eighth double-double of the season.
The Mountain Lions held a substantial advantage on the glass, outrebounding UVa.-Wise 51-38. CU shot 48.7 percent from the field (38-for-78) while hitting 14 three-pointers.
Additionally, the Maroon and Gray passed a season-high 27 assists with junior guard
Michael Sanchez handing out eight assists and freshman guard
Tommy Bolte recording a career-best seven assists.
CU hosts West Virginia State 4:00 p.m. Saturday at the Carter Center.
