The contest remained scoreless through the first 69 minutes of play until Chowan scored the only goal of the game. After the Hawks goal, the Mountain Lions recorded two shots on goal, coming from freshman midfielder Royale Johnson in the 89th minute and freshman defender Oisin Millmore, also in the 89th minute in an attempt to tie the game.

Senior defender Cameron Russell and junior defender Alex Williams also had shots on goal for the Mountain Lions.

Junior goalkeeper Mitchell Thompson made six saves in the defeat.

By coming off the bench Russell tied Varney Vincent for eighth on the career games played today while fellow senior defender Cole Cloonan tied Ryne Shuff for fourth on the career games played list with 57.

Concord will resume Mountain East Conference play Wednesday at Anderson Field versus Urbana at 4:00 p.m.
