MOUNTAIN LION NOTES• Concord has been led by senior middle hitter
Sarah Jones and senior outside hitter
Brytni Willis.
• Jones and Willis began the week ranked in the top-10 nationally in total kills. As of Tuesday, Jones was third in Division II with 155 kills while Willis was slotted eighth with 139 kills.
• For her career, Jones has 1,080 kills, third all-time at Concord.
• Willis has tallied 902 kills for her career, ranking seventh in CU history and needs just 14 kills to move into the top five all-time.
• Senior
Nikki McMillan has been the primary setter for the Mountain Lions' offensive attack as she has 202 assists in 12 matches this season.
• Additionally, McMillan has had 15 or more assists in eight of CU's 12 contests.
•Freshman setter
Casey Mandeville has emerged as Concord's secondary setter as she has gone recorded double-digit assists in three of her last four contests including a team-high 13 assists in the Mountain Lions three-set win over WVU Tech Tuesday.
• Freshman middle hitter
Shea Hoffman has done an outstanding job of controlling the net for the Mountain Lions as she has a team-high 25 blocks this season.
• Hoffman hasn't been the only Concord player racking up blocks this season, freshman middle hitter
Alexis Elliott and sophomore middle hitter
Lauren Richardson each have 18 total blocks.
• Senior libero
Amanda Walker leads CU with 143 digs on the season while also registering 13 aces.
• Willis ranks fifth in the MEC in service aces with 20 while McMillan, who has 16 aces, is 10
th in the league.
SCOUTING FAIRMONT STATE• The Falcons have a hitting percentage of .216, ranking second only to Concord's .236 team hitting percentage.
• Freshman Mackenzie Harrison leads FSU with 92 kills this season
• CU and Fairmont State met in the MEC Tournament last season during the quarterfinal round where the Falcons prevailed in four sets. Jones posted a double-double for Concord in the match with 14 kills and 15 digs.
SCOUTING SHEPHERD• The Rams are 4-4 this season and they one common opponent with Concord. Both teams swept Slippery Rock at the Davis and Elkins Tournament last week.
• McMillan led Concord with 11 assists and 11 digs when the teams met during the regular season last year in which Shepherd took three straight sets from CU.
• Shepherd has 364 kills, fourth best in the MEC.
