Box Score 2 CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The Concord University softball team dropped a pair of one-run games, 4-3 and 3-2, against the University of Charleston in Mountain East Conference action Sunday afternoon.
Concord finishes the regular season at 29-21 overall and 13-15 in MEC games. The 29 victories are the most in program history, surpassing the 21 regular season wins the program recorded in 2010 and 2011. Charleston moves to 33-17 overall and 17-11 in league play.
CU could not hang onto a 3-2 lead in the seventh inning, falling 4-3 in game one. Sophomore
Allie Reid (16-9) was the pitcher of record for Concord after giving up a walk-off two-run single to Charleston that was the difference in the game.

Alyssa Morris also recorded hits for the Mountain Lions in the opener.
In the nightcap, Morris and freshman third baseman
Courtney Purtell registered an RBI each while going 1-for-3 and 1-for-2, respectively. Lewis tallied two hits in the one-run loss to extend her hitting streak to a season-long 18 games. Freshman

Brantlea Wood (1-1) was the losing pitcher for the Mountain Lions in game two.
The Mountain Lions now turn their attention to the postseason where they will look to make a run at the first MEC Tournament championship beginning Thursday at the Moyer Sports Complex in Salem, Va. against Glenville State. The Mountain Lions, who are the eight seed in the tournament, will play at 12:00 p.m. Thursday.
Concord completed a sweep of Glenville State April 12 on the road, 12-4 and 6-2. The trio of Lewis, Reid and Rose combined to drive in 10 of the Mountain Lions' 18 runs against the Pioneers in completing the doubleheader sweep.
