ATHENS, W. Va. – The Concord University baseball team looks to cap off its already successful 14-game road trip with four victories April 18-19 at West Virginia Wesleyan. Friday's doubleheader will start at 2:00 p.m. followed by a 1:00 p.m. first pitch Saturday.
Records and Standings• Winners of eight out of its last nine games, Concord is currently slotted third in the Mountain East Conference standings at 26-12 overall and 23-9 in league play.
• West Virginia Wesleyan has lost three consecutive games to drop their record to 8-18 overall and 5-18 in conference games.
The Series• West Virginia Wesleyan leads Concord 22-20 in the all-time series dating back to the 1995 season. However, Concord has won its last four games against the Bobcats including a three-game series sweep last year.

Ryan Johnston went 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI while
Devin Smith scattered five runs over 6.2 innings on the way to a 12-5 CU victory against West Virginia State on April 21, 2013.
Mountain Lion Notes• Concord is coming off of a doubleheader split earlier this week at West Virginia State. Concord's game two win assured the Mountain Lions of finishing the regular season with a winning record for the 11
th time in the last 12 years.

• Concord's pitching staff has now gone 14 consecutive outings without giving up more than five runs in a game. The last time CU allowed more than five runs was in a 9-5 loss vs. West Virginia State on March 27. Concord is 12-2 since the defeat.

Chris Baker (1-1) against West Virginia State Wednesday. Mack was the tough-luck loser in CU's 4-2 loss to WVSU in game one after striking out three batters and allowing the four runs (one earned) over 5.2 innings while Baker picked up his first win of the season in game two's 10-1 triumph by throwing six strong innings of one-run baseball before giving way to senior reliever
Dustin Nuckels, who threw a scoreless seventh inning.
• If the season ended today, the pitching staff's team ERA of 4.17 would be the programs lowest dating back to the 2005 season.
• Blevins has successfully stolen a base in six out of the last seven games to increase his season total to Concord-best 20. Blevins also leads CU in on-base percentage at .443.
• Senior first baseman
Joey Miller (42 RBI) and Camp (32 RBI) have combined to drive in 74 of Concord's 221 runs this year. On the season, Miller has tallied team-highs in batting average (.385) and home runs (eight). Camp is 9-for-14 in his last four games with seven RBI.
• After hitting a pair of doubles in the West Virginia State series, Groves moved ahead of Miller for the team lead in two-baggers with 12.
• Concord is 22-1 on the season when leading after four innings.
• The Mountain Lions have outscored opponents 86-47 in the first two innings of contests this season.
Scouting West Virginia Wesleyan• The Bobcats' top hitter in 2014 has been Michael Logsdon, who is batting .354 with 13 runs and 14 RBI.
• On the mound, Wesleyan has been paced by Seth Corwin who has a 2.88 ERA in 34.1 innings.
The Coaches•
Andrew Wright is in his fourth season at Concord. Since taking over the program, Wright has guided the Mountain Lions to a pair of conference titles and a record of 115-85 (.575).
• Brett Ripley is 8-18 in his first season at West Virginia Wesleyan.
