ATHENS, W.Va. – After breaking the program's single-season wins mark with a sweep over Charleston, the Concord University softball begins a brief four-game Mountain East Conference road trip 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Glenville State and 1:00 p.m. Sunday against nationally-ranked West Virginia Wesleyan.

RECORDS AND STANDINGS
•  The Mountain Lions are 22-14 overall and 6-8 in MEC play, ranking them seventh in the league standings
 
•  Glenville State enters the weekend ninth in the MEC standings at 11-15 overall and  5-7 against conference competition.
 
•  WVWC, which was ranked 17th in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association top-25 poll, is 27-7 this season and 12-2 in conference play.

ALL-TIME SERIES
•  Concord is 3-13 all-time vs. Glenville and 1-25 against West Virginia Wesleyan.

MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
•  The 22 wins this season for Concord broke the previous mark of 21 set in both 2010 and 2011.
 
•  Freshman outfielder Lauren Lewis smashed two home runs, her third of the season, to aid a CU comeback victory in game one vs. UC before sealing the doubleheader sweep with her fourth homer of the year in game two.
 
• By going 2-for-3 in game two against the Golden Eagles Lewis tallied her 10th multi-hit game of the season, the third most of any Concord player. For the season, Lewis is hitting .350 with 19 RBI.
 
•  After hitting her sixth home run of the season in game one against Charleston, sophomore catcher Alyssa Morris is tied for fifth in the MEC in home runs in addition to leading the league in walks at 18.
 
•  The 15 runs CU tallied against UC were the most runs the Mountain Lions have scored over a two-game stretch since scoring 22 runs Feb. 22 in games against Slippery Rock and Bowie State.
 
•  Morris' batting average stands at .337 on the season, but what is more impressive is her on-base percentage of .450. Morris has reached base 50 times in 111 plate appearances this season.
 
•  Sophomore pitcher Allie Reid has thrown the second-most innings in the conference (113.1) and recorded 12 wins, also second. Reid has also thrown 78 strikeouts, placing her fifth in the MEC.
 
•  Reid is just two wins shy of passing Tamara Smith (2010) for most wins in a single-season while needing three strikeouts to move into third for most strikeouts in a season.
 
•  With 14 stolen base, sophomore shortstop Kristen Rose ranks fourth in the MEC in steals. Rose, who is batting .342 with four home runs and 26 RBI, is 14-for-15 this season on steal attempts.
 
•  The Mountain Lions are second in the MEC in home runs (26), third in hits (261), third in slugging percentage (.451), fifth in on-base percentage (.351) and fifth in batting average (.299).
 
•  The Mountain Lions are a combined 18-8 when Lewis or Morris bats in the clean-up position.
 
•  Junior Brantlea Wood, who won her second career game in game two against Charleston, has not allowed an earned run in six innings pitched this season.

SCOUTING GLENVILLE STATE
•  GSC's Morgan Scarpellini is batting .313 with a team-leading five home runs and 16 RBI.
 
•  Samantha Weaver is 7-8 this season with a 2.35 ERA and 53 strikeouts in 89.1 innings pitched.
 
•  Carly Caldon has stolen an MEC-best 17 bases in 19 attempts.

SCOUTING WEST VIRGINIA WESLEYAN
•  WVWC is led by Jessica Griffin who is batting .468 with three home runs and 24 RBI.
 
•  Griffin is also the Bobcats' best pitcher, registering a record of 7-2 to go with a 1.33 ERA and 39 strikeouts in 73.2 innings.
 
•  The Bobcats own the best ERA in the MEC at 2.17.

•  Concord will play its final six home games of the season beginning with a doubleheader vs. Wheeling Jesuit 3:00 p.m. Thursday.
