Box Score 2 TROUTVILLE, Va. – The Concord University softball team closed out its time at the Salem Invitational by splitting a pair of games Sunday. The Mountain Lions defeated Indiana (Pa.), 8-2, in their first contest of the day before dropping a close decision to California (Pa.), 2-1.

With the majority of its non-conference schedule completed, Concord finds itself with an impressive record of 14-6 on the season.
Weather permitting, the Mountain Lions will hold their home opener at the CU Softball Field 2:00 p.m. Tuesday against Lees-McRae. Concord is also set to open up Mountain East Conference play with home doubleheaders March 22 vs. Fairmont State and March 23 against Shepherd.
