ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University women's basketball will look to build momentum for the upcoming Mountain East Conference tournament when it concludes the regular season 2:00 p.m. Saturday vs. UVa.-Wise at the Carter Center.

RECORDS
Concord enters play against the Cavaliers at 9-16 overall and 7-14 in the MEC standings. The Mountain Lions are ninth in the conference rankings. Meanwhile, UVa.-Wise is 10th in the league standings at 9-16 overall and 5-16 against MEC foes.

ALL-TIME SERIES
CU and UVa.-Wise have met three previous times on the hardwood with Concord owning a 2-1 edge, including a 73-66 victory on Jan. 23.

SCOUTING CONCORD
• Senior center Sammi Webster will play her final game at the Carter Center on Saturday. Webster sits sixth in career blocks at Concord with 52. She needs three blocks to pass Jessica Ferguson (2003-06) and eight blocks to move into fourth all-time to pass Kristen Brown (2002-03). Webster has played 95 games in her collegiate career and has been a member of two WVIAC semifinal teams. Watch a recent interview by Webster by clicking here.

• This season has marked the best for Webster in the maroon and gray. She is averaging career highs in points per game (7.3), rebounds per game (5.4), minutes played per game (24.7) and field goal percentage (.514).

• Earlier this season against UVa.-Wise, four different Concord players finished in double figures with junior forward Jacqueline Kestner leading the way with 15 points and five rebounds. Kestner made six-of-eight attempts from the free-throw line in the victory.

• Fellow junior forward Andrea Bertrand nearly recorded a triple-double against the Cavaliers in the January meeting by scoring 10 points, grabbing eight rebounds and dishing out six assists. Bertrand also went a perfect 6-for-6 from the foul line against UVa.-Wise.

• Junior guard Rachel Artrip and Webster recorded 14 and 10 points apiece to round out the double-scorers for the Mountain Lions vs. UVa.-Wise. Artrip connected on 4-of-5 three-pointers while Webster went 5-for-5 from the field.

• In addition to picking up her 1,000th point and 500th rebound recently, Bertrand also recorded her 100th career steal against Charleston. Only two CU players, Jolysa Brown (2008-2012) and Becca Flanagan (2004-08) have reached 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 100 steals at Concord.

• Bertrand is already ranked in a myriad of all-time statistical categories at Concord including points (14th / 1,034), field goal percentage (third / 48.7), rebounds per game (seventh / 5.8), field goals made (ninth / 398) and rebounds (ninth / .515).

• With three made field goals, Bertrand will move into the top-10 in field goals made in the season. Bertrand enters Saturday as the league's third leading scorer.

SCOUTING UVa.-WISE
• UVa.-Wise is led by Makenzie Cluesman, who averages 11.3 points per game and 6.9 rebounds per contest.

• UVa.-Wise ranks third in the MEC in scoring defense, allowing 69.3 points per game.

• Cluesman, Katie Jo Lester and Taylor Sandidge all rank in the top-10 in the MEC in minutes played led by Cluesman, who averages 35.6 minutes per outing.

COACHES
Kenny Osborne is in 13th season at Concord. He owns a record of 199-196 at Concord. In 14 seasons of coaching, Osborne is 211-211 overall.

UVa.-Wise is coached by Kristin Kunzman. She is in her third season and sports a record of 26-58.
