Box Score CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The Concord University women's basketball team lost to the University of Charleston, 66-48, at the Eddie King Gymnasium Wednesday night in Mountain East Conference play.

Rachel Artrip scored 12 points and grabbed six rebounds with junior forward
Jacqueline Kestner adding 10 points and four rebounds to pace the Mountain Lions (9-16, 7-14 MEC).

Andrea Bertrand fell shy of her seventh double-double of the season with nine points and eight rebounds.
UC (18-7, 14-7 MEC) scored 10 of the game's first 12 points to lead 10-2 with 16:50 remaining in the first half, but Concord battled back by going on a 17-6 run to take a 19-16 lead midway through the opening period.

Olivia Morgan scored at least two points with Webster recording a team-high five during the run.
The teams traded baskets over the next two minutes resulting in the game being tied at 22 with 8:11 left until halftime. However, the Golden Eagles ended the first half by scoring 10 of the half's final 12 points to take a 32-24 advantage into intermission.
Concord trimmed the deficit to 37-31 through the opening three minutes of the second half. However, the Golden Eagles bounced back with five unanswered points to build a double-digit lead that they would never relinquish over the final 15 minutes of the game en route to the 18-point win.
Webster finished the game with seven points and four rebounds.
After playing a career-high 37 minutes Feb. 22 against Shepherd, Morgan once again got the starty, playing 26 minutes while scoring six points and tying a career high in assists with four.
Junior guard
Melea Smith came off the bench to score four points and tally two steals.
For the game, the Mountain Lions edged Charleston in steals (7-5) and free throws made (15-8)
Charleston was led by LeAnne Ross, who scored 15 points and was 5-for-7 from three-point range.
Concord will conclude the regular season 2:00 p.m. Saturday at home against UVa.-Wise.
