Box Score ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University women's soccer team earned a hard-fought 1-1 draw against the conference-leading Notre Dame College Falcons Saturday afternoon at Anderson Field.
With the tie, Concord is now 4-3-3 this season and 2-2-3 in Mountain East Conference action. Notre Dame's new record is 6-1-1 and 5-1-1 in league play.
The Falcons jumped out to a 1-0 lead, 20 minutes into the game, on a penalty kick after Concord committed a foul inside the penalty box.

Kari Simon. Simon was able to beat Notre Dame goalkeeper Samantha Shoemaker for her team-leading seventh goal of the season.
Freshman goalkeeper
Kaitlyn Hanrahan, who was making her first collegiate start, kept the game tied with a save in the 80
th minute to force overtime.
In the first 10-minute overtime period, Calder fired a shot towards the net but it Shoemaker stopped the powerful shot from Calder. Meanwhile, Hanrahan showed her talent in the second overtime period by making diving saves in the 105
th and 108
th minute to ensure the Falcons would not get on the scoreboard again.
In all, Hanrahan saved seven shots for the Mountain Lions.
Notre Dame held advantages in total shots (14-5), shots on goal (8-3) and corner kicks (8-4).
Concord will take to the road to face Shepherd Wednesday at 12:00 p.m.
