MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
Concord is 5-2 over its last seven games that includes three-set sweeps over Davis & Elkins, Glenville  State, West Virginia State and WVU Tech.

On Oct. 18 against WVSU, the Mountain Lions only trailed a total of five times over the course of three sets versus WVSU.

Senior middle hitter Sarah Jones played one of her more complete games of the season, registering 12 kills, seven digs and six total blocks while only committing two errors in 23 attack opportunities.

In fact, the Mountain Lions played a clean game against West Virginia State as they only committed 15 errors as a team, the fifth-lowest total of the season. Over their last four matches, Concord has committed 15 or less errors in three of those contests.

After recording her 1,000th kill recently, senior outside hitter Brytni Willis needs just three more kills to pass Desiree Deck for third on the career kills list at CU with 1,030.

Meanwhile, Jones starts the weekend with 1,210 kills which is second on the all-time kills list at Concord.

Behind the play of Jones, who leads the team in blocks (82) and freshman middle hitter Shea Hoffman who has recorded 66 blocks this season, the Mountain Lions are second in the MEC in total blocks (261) and third in blocks per set (1.95).

The Mountain Lions also rank in the top half of the conference in service aces (sixth/116).

Willis leads the team with 29 aces while senior libero Amanda Walker (26) and senior setter Nikki McMillan (24) both have surpassed 20 service aces this season.

SCOUTING WEST LIBERTY
Just like the Mountain Lions did earlier this season, West Liberty is coming off a five-set victory against Notre Dame Tuesday night.

The Hilltoppers are ranked sixth in the league in assists per set (10.73) while Chelsea Byrge is seventh in the MEC in assists per set (6.56).

Last season versus Concord, Peyton Miller led West Liberty with 10 kills in a three-set sweep for WLU.

WSSU will be looking to end a four-game skid after previously winning seven in a row.

Winston-Salem State have one mutual opponent this season in West Virginia State. WSSU lost to the Yellow Jackets to begin the season in four sets while CU swept WVSU in its last match.
