ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University volleyball team will play host to a pair of Mountain East Conference foes Friday and Saturday at the Carter Center.
Friday's matchup with the University of Charleston will be an afternoon matinee start of 2:00 p.m. while Saturday's contest versus West Virginia State will get underway at 1:00 p.m.

RECORDS
• Concord enters the weekend with an overall mark of 12-10 and is 2-6 in conference play.

• UC sports a record of 3-15 overall and 2-6 in MEC action. Concord and Charleston are tied for ninth in the conference standings.

• West Virginia State is 4-14 overall and 2-7 in league play. The Yellow Jackets set 11th in the MEC rankings.

MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
• Concord has won four of its last five matches including consecutive three-set sweeps over Davis & Elkins and WVU Tech in CU's home triangular Tuesday.

• Senior outside hitter Brytni Willis recorded her 1,000th kill in the second set against Davis & Elkins to become the fourth player in Concord history to accomplish the milestone, joining teammate senior middle hitter Sarah Jones. Willis now has 244 kills this season.

• Freshman outside hitter Lisette Roldan had her best game as a Mountain Lion versus Davis & Elkins as she recorded a team-high 12 kills while hitting .375 for the game.

• Jones recorded 18 kills, 12 blocks and 12 digs over six sets of play Tuesday night. For the season, Jones has 255 kills, 72 kills and 152 digs.

• Entering play Friday, freshman setter Casey Mandeville has recorded double-digit assists in seven straight games and nine of her last 11 contests.

• Likewise, senior setter Nikki McMillan has notched double-digit assists in 10 of her last 12 matches and tallied a career-high 32 assists in a five-set versus Notre Dame Oct. 10.

• In Concord's 3-0 win over WVU Tech, sophomore middle hitter Lauren Richardson had a season-high nine kills and also recorded five blocks.

• Last season at home versus Charleston, senior setter Whytni Willis spiked down a career-high 10 kills while Brytni Willis had a double-double with 11 kills and 11 digs.

SCOUTING CHARLESTON
• The Golden Eagles will come to Athens having lost five matches in a row.

• Charleston and Concord share a common victory as both teams have swept Glenville State this season.

• UC is led by Clairissa Larry who has 143 kills this season.

SCOUTING WEST VIRGINIA STATE
• Hayley Kirby and Erica Bickham both have recorded 100 kills for the Yellow Jackets as they have 124 and 108, respectively.

• Like the Mountain Lions and Charleston, West Virginia State has also defeated Glenville State in three sets this season.

• West Virginia State and Concord split the season series last year as both teams won at home.

Concord will host West Liberty Friday, Oct. 24 at the Carter Center at 5:00 p.m.
