Box Score WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. - The Concord University women's soccer team was unable to hold onto a 1-0 halftime lead as they fell to West Liberty, 4-1, in Mountain East Conference action Wednesday afternoon.Â
Concord (4-6-3, 2-5-3 MEC) scored off of a goal by senior midfielder
Stacey Calder, who netted her third goal of the season in the 14th minute of the game.
After halftime, West Liberty (4-4-3, 4-3-2) scored four goals to secure the win.
Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Lacey Geisel saved six shots for the Mountain Lions.Â
Junior forward
Kari Simon registered a team-high three shots on goal while Calder had two and sophomore forward
Emily Cole had one shot on goal.Â
For the contest, West Liberty held advantages in total (13-8), shots on goal (10-6) and corner kicks (3-0).Â
Concord will play at home Saturday versus Wheeling Jesuit. Kickoff is at 12:00 p.m.Â
