RECORDSConcord enters play this weekend with a record of 9-9 overall and 1-5 in Mountain East Conference play.
Notre Dame is 5-11 overall and boasts a 3-3 mark in conference action.
Urbana is 8-9 this season, but has an impressive 5-1 record against league foes.
MOUNTAIN LION NOTESSenior outside
Brytni Willis has recorded double –digit kills in two of her last three contests including a 19-kill, 12-dig outing versus UVa.-Wise Sept. 30.
Willis needs 51 kills to record 1,000 for her career and would become the fourth Mountain Lion to accomplish the feat, joining teammate senior middle hitter
Sarah Jones.
Jones and Willis are among the best in the MEC in kills per set as Jones ranks fifth (3.3) and Willis is slotted eighth (3.1).
After playing 16 of their 18 matches of the season away from the Carter Center, Concord will play 11 of its final 13 matches at home, including nine straight.
In their last 12 home matches, Concord is 9-3 that included a four-match winning streak from Oct. 8, 2013 to Oct. 12, 2013.
In fact, CU has won its last two matches on Oct. 11 and they will host Urbana on that date this season.
Last season in a three-set road win against Notre Dame, the Mountain Lions were led by senior setter
Nikki McMillan who had 15 assists and 11 digs.
Jones and Willis both tallied double-figure kills with 11 and 10, respectively.
CU was also victorious against Urbana last season and once again it was the trio of Jones, McMillan and Willis leading the way. All three recorded double-doubles as McMillan had 21 assists and 16 digs.
Jones chipped in six total blocks against the Falcons while sophomore middle hitter
Lauren Richardson had four blocks against UU.
The Mountain Lions rank fourth in the league in service percentage (91.8) and have three players with at least 18 service aces.
Willis leads the way with 22 aces, followed by senior libero
Amanda Walker (20) and McMillan has 18.
SCOUTING NOTRE DAMELindsay Shirilla leads the Falcons with 164 kills this season.
Notre Dame is 0-7 away from South Euclid, Ohio so far this season.
NDC will be looking to win two matches in a row after defeating West Virginia State in three sets on Oct. 3.
SCOUTING URBANAThe Blue Knights are led by Katlynn Dunlap who has tallied 209 kills this season, averaging 3.3 per set.
Urbana's setter Mary Hendricks has 517 assists this season, which is third in the MEC.
UU is 3-2 in its last five matches and is coming off a three-set victory against Lake Erie Tuesday night.
UP NEXTConcord will host WVU Tech and Davis & Elkins in its second triangular match of the season beginning at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday.
