ATHENS, W. Va. – The Concord University women's soccer team will look to avoid back-to-back losses for the first time this season when it heads to Wheeling Jesuit in search of a win 1:00 p.m. Saturday
SCOUTING CONCORD
• The Mountain Lions split a pair of Mountain East Conference games last week, defeating West Liberty (2-1) and losing to Shepherd (2-0), before dropping their midweek conference contest at Urbana (2-0) earlier this week.
• On the year, Concord is 3-3-1 overall and 1-2-1 in MEC play. CU currently sits in a tie for fifth place, with Charleston, in the conference standings.
• The Mountain Lion's 3-3-1 start is its best start to a season since beginning the 2009 season 4-3.
• Saturday's match concludes a September schedule that has seen Concord play seven of its eight matches on the road. The remainder of the Mountain Lions' schedule features six home contests and just two more road matchups.

Abby Barber continues to pace Concord's offense. Simon has produced team-highs of four goals and 12 shots on goal. Barber has totaled three goals, including the game-winner against West Liberty, and a CU best two assists. Simon's goals and Barber's assists are both tied for second place in the league in their respective categories.

Kristin Twomey and
Emily Cole also find themselves among the MEC best. Twomey, a goalie, ranks third in the league in goals against average (0.964) and fourth in saves (35) while Cole is third in the league in total shots (22) and fourth in shots per game (3.14).

• After its game at Wheeling Jesuit, Concord returns home for an Oct.1 contest with Charleston at 2:00 p.m.
SCOUTING WHEELING JESUIT
• The Cardinals are 3-5-0 overall and 2-2-0 in the MEC. Over its last four games, Wheeling Jesuit is 2-2 with wins over Charleston (1-0) and Urbana (3-0) and losses to Shepherd (1-0) and Ursuline (4-1). Sophomore Aubrey Hutchinson has scored a league-best five goals for Wheeling Jesuit this season.
