Box Score URBANA, Ohio--The Concord University men's soccer team was on the road for its third consecutive away game Tuesday afternoon as they traveled to Urbana to square off against the Blue Knights. The Mountain Lions fell 4-0.
Goalkeeper
Trevor Hoxworth made his first collegiate start in net for CU. He stopped four of the five shots that came his way in the first half as the Mountain Lions found themselves down 1-0 at halftime.
Within the first 10 minutes of the second half, Urbana added two more goals to extend their lead to 3-0 before pushing across another goal with less to than two minutes left to the game.
Hoxworth made eight saves on the day for Concord.
Offensively, the Mountain Lions had two shots on goal. Sophomore
Deni Deyanov and freshman
Matheus Morgan had one shot each.
Concord was able to hold the advantage in corner kicks over the Blue Knights 4-3. The loss drops Concord to 2-4-1 and 0-2-1 in Mountain East Conference play.
CU will end their current four game road trip on Saturday when they travel to Wheeling Jesuit to matchup with the Cardinals. Start time is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.Â
