SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va.-- The Concord University women's socce teamr fell on the road to Mountain East Conference rival Shepherd 2-0 Wednesday afternoon in Shepherdstown, W.Va.
After a scoreless first half, Shepherd was able to find the net twice in less than a minute at the 52:03 and 53:00 marks of the second half. The first goal by Shepherd came on a penalty kick and the second goal came from a free kick.

Reigning MEC defensive player of the week freshman goalkeeper
Kristin Twomey was able to stop 11 shots that came her way. The double-digit save total marked a season-high.
The Rams outshot Concord 24-11 and also held the edge for shots on goal 13-5.
The defeat drops the Mountain Lions record at 2-2-1 on the year and 0-1-1 in MEC play.
Next up for Concord is another road conference contest against West Liberty. Game time is set 12:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
