Men's Soccer Draws Against Shepherd

Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va.--The Concord University men's soccer team tied Mountain East Conference foe Shepherd 0-0 Wednesday afternoon in Shepherdstown, W.Va.

Leading the way for the Mountain Lions was Sebastian Escobar, who was able to put two shots on goal. For the day, CU totaled five shots on goal. Sophomore Ryan Forde,  senior Tyler Farrar and sophomore Isaac Jordan each had one.

Shepherd outshot the Mountain Lions 21-20, but Concord held the advantage in corner kicks 3-2.

Sophomore goalkeeper Mitchell Thompson had a fine afternoon in net as he stopped nine shots to preserve the draw for Concord. He also logged all 110 minutes of the match, as his record now stands 2-2-1.

Overall the Mountain Lions are now 2-2-1 on the year and 0-1-1 in MEC play.

Concord will continue its road trip when they travel to West Virginia University Institute of Technology on Saturday to face the Golden Bears. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
