ATHENS, W. Va. - The Concord University women's basketball team will look to erase a two-game losing streak with a pair of victories in back-to-back days at the Carter Center against conference foes West Virginia Wesleyan and Alderson-Broaddus Monday and Tuesday.

Records
Concord will begin a stretch of four games in eight days with an overall record of 5-14 and a WVIAC mark of 4-9.
• West Virginia Wesleyan defeated Fairmont State by 20 points in its last game to improve its record to 7-10 overall and 6-8 in league play.
Series
Concord has won six of 10 games against the Bobcats and lead the series 15-12 dating back to the 1994-95 season.
• CU defeated Wesleyan 64-59 on Dec. 8 behind 15 points from junior guard
Amanda Smith as well as an 11-point, eight-rebound effort from junior center
Sammi Webster.
Scouting Concord
• Smith has been dominant for Concord as of late, averaging 18.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.2 steals in CU's last four games.
• Smith has also been nearly automatic from the foul line, having made 31 of her last 36 free throws attempts.
• Smith's 22-point game at Wheeling Jesuit tied
Rachel Artrip's 22-point effort at Davis & Elkins for the second-highest scoring output by a Concord player this year.
• Despite turning the ball over at least 16 times in its last three games, CU still ranks 15th in the nation in turnovers per game (14.4).
• The reserve duo of Artrip and freshman
Leslie Mack has provided an offensive boost to the CU rotation recently. Artrip his reached double figures in five consecutive games and is averaging 15.4 points and 4.8 rebounds during the stretch, Mack has scored at least 10 points in her last three games thanks in part to a 50.0 percent (12-for-24) field goal percentage.
• Sophomore Stephanie Wagner moved up two spots in the last week to 13th in the nation in assists per game (5.3). She also still ranks fifth in NCAA Division II in assist/turnover ratio (2.37).

Jacqueline Kestner nearly had her third double-double of the year at WJU with eight points and eight rebounds.
Scouting West Virginia Wesleyan
The Bobcats do a good job at both defending the three-point shot and hitting their own three point attempts. Opponents are shooting a WVIAC low 27.5 percent from long range against Wesleyan while the Bobcats have connected on 34.8 percent of their attempts, third-best in the league.
Wesleyan is led by Atavia Blake (15.5 ppg) and Brittney Maxey (12.1 ppg). Maxey also leads the WVIAC in rebounding at 10.1 rebounds a game.

Kenny Osborne is 200-187 overall in 14 seasons as a Division II women's basketball coach and is 188-172 in his time at Concord.
Jackie DeVane is 31-17 in her two seasons at West Virginia Wesleyan and 229-237 in her college coaching career.
