ATHENS, W. Va. – The Concord University women's basketball team will look to pull off an early upset when it travels to play at Seton Hill 7:00 p.m. Monday in the first round of the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament.

Concord enters the tournament as the 12th seed with a record of 7-21 overall and WVIAC mark of 6-16. Seton Hill earned the tournament's fifth seed and the right to host a first-round game by compiling a conference record of 13-9 to go with its overall record of 16-12.

Rachel Artrip added 19 points to lead Concord to an 85-70 win at Seton Hill on Jan. 26.
The Mountain Lions received solid outings from virtually the entire roster in the victory.
Jacqueline Kestner had one of her best games in a Concord uniform with a double-double performance that included 15 points and 12 rebounds. Stephanie Wagner had 10 assists while
Leslie Mack and
Tanisha Williams came off the bench to score 11 points each.
The Mountain Lions shot a season-high 50.8 percent from the floor in addition to making 22-of-28 foul shots and forcing 22 Seton Hill turnovers.
The Series
Concord has won its last two games against the Griffins to tie the series at 3-3 dating back to the 2007-08 season.
Concord's Top Players
Smith leads Concord in scoring (13.7 ppg), field goal percentage (44.8 percent) and free throw shooting (77.8 percent). She has scored at least 16 points in a game 13 times this season.
Wagner, one of the top point guards in the conference, is averaging 5.5 assists per game and scoring at a clip of 9.7 points per game (ppg). Wagner, who ranked first in the nation in assist/turnover ratio in the last NCAA statistical report, has totaled 30 assists (7.5 apg) and just 7 turnovers (1.7 tpg) over the last four games.
Kestner, Concord's leader in rebounding, has produced five double-double games this year. She has grabbed 28 rebounds in CU's last three games.
Katy Somerville and Artrip are Concord's top three-point threats. Somerville has made a team-best 44 triples with Artrip not far behind at 34.
Seton Hill's Top Players
Katie Gattuso is Seton Hill's top offensive option. Gattuso, a first team All-WVIAC performer, averages 17.5 points 11.1 rebounds a game.
Paige Alviani has proven to be dangerous from three-point range, having made 42.8 percent (65-for-152) of her shots from long range this season. For the year, Alviani averages 15.9 ppg and 3.8 apg.

Kenny Osborne is 202-194 overall in 14 seasons as a Division II women's basketball coach and is 190-179 in his time at Concord.
Seton Hill is led by Ferne Labati, who has compiled a coaching record of 552-397 in her career. She is 113-81 at Seton Hill.
