ATHENS, W. Va. - The Concord University men's basketball team will look to keep its current winning streak intact and continue its strong finish to the regular season by closing out a season-long three-game homestand with a pair of West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference wins against Ohio Valley and West Virginia State.

Records
• Concord has won its last two games to improve its record to 13-9 overall and 9-9 in the WVIAC.
• The Mountain Lions need two more wins to assure head coach
Kent McBride of his second winning season in as many years.
• Ohio Valley has lost its last nine games and is 3-22 overall and 2-17 in league play this year.
• If the season ended today, Concord would be the eighth seed in the WVIAC Tournament and host Seton Hill in a first round game.
The Series
Concord has firmly controlled the series against Ohio Valley, winning 24 of its last 33 games against the Fighting Scots.
• CU defeated Ohio Valley 86-66 behind 24 points from
Mike Boyd on Jan. 7.
Scouting Concord
•
Damien Tunstalle is closing out his collegiate career strong. He has scored at least 11 points in his last six games, including a career-high 35 points at Shepherd.
• Tunstalle knocked down a career-high nine three-pointers, including a game-winning triple with six seconds left to propel Concord past Shepherd 78-77.
• Tunstalle is just 79 points away from 1,000 for his career. He needs to average 15.8 ppg over the remainder of Concord's five guaranteed games (four regular season + one WVIAC Tournament) to hit the historic plateau.
• Sophomore forward
Jordan Davis is coming off of a double-double performance vs. Davis & Elkins of 18 points and 10 rebounds.
• Davis is fourth in the WVIAC in field goal percentage (60.2%).
• Sophomore guard
Mike Boyd has not committed a turnover in two games. The WVIAC's leader in assist/turnover ratio has totaled 19 assists and just six turnovers in Concord's last five games.
• Freshman guard
Cam Shannon has been nearly automatic from the foul line as of late. Shannon, who leads the WVIAC in free throw shooting at 92.3 percent, has made 33-of-34 foul shots over the last nine games.
• Concord is 8-0 this season when holding opponents to under 45 percent shooting from the field and 11-3 when leading at the half.
Scouting Ohio Valley
• Ashton Brown is the driving force behind Ohio Valley's offense. Brown averages 19.2 points per game while also grabbing 5.0 rebounds and passing our 4.0 assists per game.
• Paced by Povilas Dambrauskas 41 blocks, Ohio Valley leads the conference in blocks with 140 (5.6 per game).
The Coaches
Former Concord standout
Kent McBride is in his second season in charge of the Mountain Lion program. He has tallied a record of 30-21 in his time in Athens. McBride already ranks eighth all-time in wins by a Concord coach despite not even having coached for two full seasons.
Ohio Valley is coached by Mike Snell. Snell, who started his head coaching career at Thiel, is 68-174 at Ohio Valley and 106-244 for his career.
