Concord Season Statistics
ATHENS, W. Va. – The Concord University softball team will take its two-game winning streak into this weekend's Shaw Softball Challenge where the Mountain Lions will play six games in three days, starting with a pair of contests Friday against UVA-Lynchburg and West Chester University.
Concord will then take on Millersville University and Mansfield University on Saturday before closing out the weekend against Barton College and St. Augustine's.
Records
The Mountain Lions' recent winning streak helped improve their record to 4-5 overall this season.
Barton is winless on the year at 0-4 and St. Augustine's is 1-0-1. Lynchburg, West Chester, Millersville and Mansfield are all yet to have played a game in 2013.

Mountain Lion Notes
• Sophomore
Lacey McDougall and senior
Becca Gleason have both produced fantastic starts to the year. The duo was rewarded for their early-season efforts by conference when McDougall was named the WVIAC Pitcher of the Week and Gleason the WVIAC Player of the Week.
• McDougall is 3-2 on the year with a 5.34 ERA. In 30.1 innings, she has struck out 11 batters and held opponents to a .279 batting average. McDougall, who was also voted to the UNCP All-Tournament team, is batting .406 with six runs scored, four RBI and a team-high 13 hits.
• Gleason has played in seven games this season and is batting .440 with seven runs scored, one home run and six RBI. Gleason, who was named to the UNCP All-Tournament team last weekend, has a .462 on-base percentage and a .600 slugging percentage.
• Freshman
Alyssa Morris is making an immediate impact in the Concord lineup with two home runs, 10 RBI, five runs scored and a .346 batting average in the first nine games of her college career.
• Junior
Rachael Mack is currently enjoying a six-game hitting streak and is tied for third on the team with nine hits. She has also stole two bases and recorded one win as Concord's second starting pitcher.
• Sophomore
Jessica Seymour has two game-winning RBI this year. She is also batting .391.
• Senior
Stephanie Harper is hitting .333 so far this season, giving CU six players with a batting average above .330.
• Concord is 3-1 when holding its opponents between 3-5 runs.
